Original Awaken the Dawn

Description

This painting took me a while to establish, as I was not sure where I was going with it. Originally it was going to be dramatic clouds over the sea, but as I was led through the experience of the painting the mood changed to use rich golds orange and bright coppers to create more of a dawn type abstract image which contrasted with the blues of the roaming sea and sky. As I reflected on the painting, reassuring thoughts emerged, that there can be a new dawn (beginning) in our lives. No matter how many disappointments, mistakes or heartaches that have plagued our lives, there is always a new day a new dawn to pick us up, carry on and start again afresh.
